Recovery Support
When anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges become overwhelming, you need more than weekly therapy—but you don’t need hospitalization. Guardian Recovery’s Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Program provides exactly that middle ground.
Our PHP offers hospital-level intensive treatment without requiring you to stay overnight. You’ll attend structured programming for 5-6 hours per day, typically 5-7 days per week, receiving comprehensive psychiatric care, therapeutic support, and skill development—then return to a safe environment each evening.
This is where healing accelerates. You’re getting the intensive help you need while maintaining some connection to your daily life, with expert support guiding you toward stability and wellness.
Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Program is a structured, intensive treatment program for acute mental health conditions that provides hospital-level care during the day while allowing you to live outside the facility.

PHP’s intensive schedule (5-6 hours daily, 5-7 days/week) typically makes full-time commitments difficult. Many clients take medical leave or short-term disability. Your mental health is the priority—work and school can wait while you stabilize.
Our team monitors your symptoms daily. If you deteriorate or become unsafe, we’ll adjust your treatment, increase support, or recommend inpatient hospitalization if needed. Your safety always comes first.
Not necessarily. We create safety plans to help you manage thoughts without hospitalization. We only recommend inpatient care if you have a specific plan and intent to harm yourself and can’t commit to safety. Honesty about your thoughts allows us to help you.
Your hospital treatment team, along with Guardian Recovery’s admissions staff, will assess whether you’re stable enough for PHP. Generally, if you’re not actively psychotic, not immediately suicidal, and can follow safety plans, PHP is appropriate.
Medication adjustments are common in PHP—that’s partly why you’re here. Our psychiatrists will monitor closely and make changes as needed, with frequent follow-up to assess effectiveness.
