Detox & Rehab Options in Holiday, Florida

There are different steps that occur when attending a detox and rehabilitation facility. Once admitted, initial assessments and any necessary care is initiated, while different levels of care are provided.

Intervention

Interventions are often initiated by family, friends, or loved ones. Those close to the substance user present their concerns and how they have been affected by the substance user’s dependence. CuraSouth works with various professional interventionists to provide you with help and care when trying to help a loved one begin their sobriety journey. Our intervention services will guide you and your loved one through the necessary steps to begin treatment.

Detox

Detoxification is the process of ridding the body of all substances. Time of detox varies depending on the individual, specific substance, and time of substance use. Detox can be uncomfortable due to the withdrawal symptoms that it elicits, however, detox is an important step in the recovery process as it helps bring that body back to equilibrium.  Medication may be administered by a medical provider if necessary, in order to help decrease withdrawal symptoms and discomfort.

Residential & Inpatient Treatment

Residential and inpatient options allow individuals to live at treatment facilities and receive 24-hour care. With structured schedules, residential and inpatient treatment help remove any distractions that may trigger substance use. Residential and inpatient facilities provide individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, psychoeducation, and medical assisted treatment.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment can be categorized by 3 different options, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient programs.

  • Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) — Though not as structured as residential or inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization programs provide structured treatment for several hours a day. Individuals meet for 3 to 6 days a week, aiding them in adjusting to a new sober lifestyle. Therapeutic services in PHP are similar to that of residential and inpatient programs.

  • Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) — Lasting for several weeks, those attending intensive outpatient programs meet multiple times a week. Individuals reside at their private home and attend IOPs in order to help maintain their sobriety.

  • Standard Outpatient (OP) — Least intensive of all the treatment options, standard outpatient provides individuals with care while they continue their outside lives. Sessions in an OP program can be weekly, biweekly, or monthly, and last for about an hour.

MAT & Suboxone

Medicated Assisted Treatment, or MAT, is the process of utilizing medications to help with combating the negative symptoms associated with withdrawal. MAT is administered by a medical provider in order to supervise and monitor the substance user’s symptoms and progress. There are various different types of medications used for MAT. Suboxone is the combination of buprenorphine and naloxone, used to treat opioid use disorder. Suboxone is effective when used as a MAT due to it not being addictive.
