At Guardian Recovery – Tampa Addiction Center we believe in the benefits of a multi-staged program of addiction recovery. While medical detoxification serves as a crucial initial step, sustained sobriety can only be accomplished when detox is complemented with an elevated level of care. We provide a comprehensive recovery program that starts with detoxification and advances to a short-term stay in our residential facility. After a client has achieved physical stabilization, they are encouraged to transition into our inpatient program where they will continue their healing journey on mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. Our Tampa recovery program integrates effective medical care, intensive therapeutic intervention, evidence-based holistic modalities, peer support, and distinctive experiential therapies. We leverage all that the Tampa area has to offer, inspiring our clients to build meaningful and fulfilling lives as they cultivate the skills necessary to successfully navigate sobriety. Our residential program ranges from 7 to 21 days based on the individual needs of each client. While residential treatment proves beneficial for everyone, not all clients require a long treatment duration. When a client participates in the detox component of our program, they collaborate with their designated case manager to create a personalized aftercare plan. This plan will either include a transition into our residential program, an alternative residential program, or a lower level of care at another Guardian Recovery treatment center. To discover more about the services offered by our residential program or to embark on your own personal journey of addiction recovery, contact us today.

Is Residential Addiction Treatment Right for Me?

Is transitioning into a residential treatment program after medical detox the appropriate choice for you or your loved one? The answer to this question depends on multiple factors. We encourage asking yourself the following questions when determining the next suitable level of clinical care.

  • Have I been battling a moderate or severe substance use disorder that I have been unable to overcome on my own?
  • Would I benefit from one-on-one and group therapy sessions?
  • If I return home immediately following detox, will I have access to the support and encouragement I need to maintain sobriety long-term?
  • Am I at risk of experiencing symptoms of post-acute withdrawal that could make it more challenging for me to remain sober?
  • Am I simultaneously struggling with a co-occurring issue which should be addressed in a clinical setting?
  • Do I have the flexibility in my current schedule to take a brief break from day-to-day life and attend to my own needs?

For some individuals, entering into a residential treatment program for an extended period of time is simply not a feasible option. Perhaps you are the sole caretaker of one or more dependents, or you cannot easily step away from your career for weeks at a time. One of the advantages of our residential program is the duration can be readily adjusted to meet your personal needs. Residential treatment almost always serves as a recommended next step on the path to lasting recovery.

Evidence-Based Therapies for Addiction & Co-Occurring Disorders

The phrase “co-occurring disorder” is used when a person has a mental health disorder as well as a substance use disorder (SUD). According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, 7.7 million adults have co-occurring mental health and SUDs, with 37.9% of adults with SUDs also experiencing mental illnesses and 18.2% of adults with mental illness also having an SUD.3

These disorders can exacerbate one another, making it all the more essential to address them together. Common co-occurring mental health conditions include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. By simultaneously addressing both substance misuse and mental health disorders, individuals have the greatest chance of achieving long-term recovery.

Expert Medical & Therapeutic Staff at Your Service

Our medical team comprises licensed doctors and counseling staff with years of experience in all aspects of drug and alcohol treatment and co-occurring disorders. Many members of our team have personal experience with substance use disorder, whether it be their own or that of a loved one. This lived experience provides them with a unique perspective on recovery. They understand what it’s like to contend with a substance use disorder and can empathize with their clients.

Flexible, Individualized Clinical Care

At Guardian Recovery – Tampa Addiction Center we take a three-pronged approach to recovery, focusing on behavioral therapy, holistic treatment, and 12 Step program involvement. However, we believe that while peer support is essential to long-term sobriety, the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous is not the only way to foster connection and stay engaged. We offer alternative options, encouraging our clients to stick with a program that feels right for them. If you or someone you love has been attempting to overcome drug or alcohol addiction with little to no success, professional treatment is likely necessary, and Tampa Addiction Center is available to help. Our therapeutically-based treatment program provides clients with the tools they need to overcome addiction and stay sober long-term. As soon as you contact us you will be put in touch with an experienced treatment advisor who will walk you through each step of our simple, straightforward admissions process. We begin by conducting a brief assessment over the phone. This will help our clinical and medical team determine which level of care is most appropriate for each unique case. Next, we offer a free, no obligation health insurance benefit check to those who are currently insured. If you or your loved one is uninsured, we offer additional coverage options including self-pay and private pay. Contact us today for more information on how to get sober, or to begin your own personal journey of addiction recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Does Tampa Addiction Center take my insurance?

We work with most major insurance providers and offer a free, no-obligation insurance benefit check. Our admissions team will speak with your insurer, get a detailed verification of your insurance benefits, and share those details with you.

How do I get into the program?

Once you call our admissions team, one of our dedicated counselors will perform a pre-assessment over the phone that takes about 10 minutes and ensures Tampa Addiction Center is the best fit for your or your loved one’s needs. After the assessment, we verify insurance benefits and arrange a time for your intake.

How long is the program?

Program lengths are individualized for each client. Generally, detox is 3-7 days, but time is adjusted to meet the needs of each individual client. Similarly inpatient treatment often starts at 28 days, but program length is determined by client needs.

Does Pine Tree Recovery accept people of all ages?

We accept adults ages 18 or over. However, our parent company, Guardian Recovery offers a full continuum of adolescent treatment programs.

Can I leave the facility once I have enrolled in treatment?

We are not a lockdown facility, but we strongly recommend that clients remain at the facility for the entire duration of their care.

Can I bring my phone or other electronic devices?

We restrict access to laptops, tablets, and phones during detox, but special arrangements are possible for individuals who need to conduct business or important personal matters. For self-employed clients, we offer an executive program that allows device access in certain cases during business hours.

Can my family be involved?

Yes! We understand that addiction affects the entire family system, and we encourage families to participate in their loved one’s treatment.

Is treatment confidential?

Yes! We believe in complete and total confidentiality and privacy for all our clients. We take extra measures to ensure we go above and beyond HIPAA and health privacy standards. If you are concerned about specific privacy requirements, please reach out, and we can answer your questions.

How much does the program cost?

Since each treatment program is customized to the unique needs of each client in our care, no two care plans are alike. As such, costs vary dramatically. However, we accept most major insurance plans, and both mental health and substance use disorder care are typically covered by insurance. To know for sure how much you’ll pay and how much your insurance will cover, reach out now for a free and confidential phone call. Our staff can answer your questions, discuss care options, verify insurance benefits, and discuss alternative payment options if necessary.

Worried About the Cost?

We accept most major insurance plans to make treatment more accessible.
