Detox & Rehab Options Port Richey, Florida

Comprehensive detox and rehab centers often offer different treatment options and levels of care.

Intervention

An intervention is a structured process where loved ones of a substance user encourage them to seek treatment. Seeking treatment can be difficult for those experiencing substance use disorders. CuraSouth partners with professional interventionists to help make this first step in the treatment process as seamless as possible.

Detox

Detox, also known as detoxification, is the process of allowing the body to rid itself of all substances. Withdrawal often occurs during detox, which is accompanied by unpleasant symptoms. Medication assisted treatment is often used to help decrease withdrawal symptoms.

Residential and Inpatient

Residential inpatient programs allow individuals to reside 24/7 at treatment facilities. This is helpful as it offers necessary supervision and removes any outside temptations. Therapy, life skills, and other structured activities are attended daily by those enrolled in residential inpatient treatment programs.

Outpatient

There are different outpatient programs, each offering their own advantages, depending on the needs of the individual.

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)

PHPs are often the next step after discharging from a residential inpatient program. Individuals can reside at their own home or a sober living facility. Therapeutic activities are similar to those attended at a residential inpatient program.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

Individuals attending IOPs receive at least 9 hours a week of therapeutic hours. Therapeutic activities are similar to that of residential inpatient and PHPs.

Standard Outpatient Programs (OP)

OPs allow individuals to attend weekly, biweekly, or monthly sessions, while continuing their outside lives. These programs offer the lowest level of care when compared to the others.

MAT & Suboxone

Medication assisted treatment, or MAT, is when medications are used during the detox process. MAT can help decrease the negative symptoms associated with withdrawal. Suboxone is a MAT used to help treat opioid use disorder. It works by helping decrease cravings.
